Dive into the culture of El Paso by checking out the Annual Las Posadas Presentation, Luminaria Lighting Festival and Christmas Bazaar. The posadas celebration is an important part of the El Paso holiday tradition and culture. In case you didn’t know, posadas means “inn” in Spanish and the event recreates Mary and Joseph’s search for a place to stay in Bethlehem. One can expect appearances by Santa and Mrs. Claus, giveaways, live entertainment and a Star Piñata for the children. The Luminaria Lighting will start after sundown and all will remain lit throughout the evening.
The event typically takes place in December.
