With March in full swing, it’s time to check out some of the exciting spring events going on in Texas. You can stop and smell the roses, shop vintage antiques, go to the fair, and so much more!
March 16 – April 1: Tyler – Azalea & Spring Flower Trail
Head over to east Texas for the Azalea & Spring Flower Trail in Tyler. The annual event is a hit every spring with 10 miles of beautiful residential gardens and historic homes. The trail is full of blooming azaleas and dogwoods that are perfect for a photo op. See a detailed map of the trails on page 7 of this PDF.
March 16 – 18: Waxahachie – Vintage Market Days
Waxahachie Vintage Market Days are where all your rustic home decor and one-of-a-kind jewelry dreams come true. The three-day upscale vintage-inspired market includes over 100 vendors selling original art, antiques, clothing, jewelry, handmade treasures, home décor, outdoor furnishings, edible goodies, seasonal plantings and a little more.
March 16 – 18: Frisco – Texas Pinball Festival
The Texas Pinball Festival is a one-of-a-kind event, where a 40,000 square foot room is transformed into the ultimate game room. There will be vendors selling various supplies, memorabilia, pinballs and more. If you’re looking to trade some of your used items, you’re in luck! Beginning at 8:00am on Saturday, the DFW Pinball and Arcade Club will host an outdoor flea market and swap meet. The weekend wraps up with an Awards Ceremony at 2:30pm on Sunday.
March 17: Allen – Shamrock Shindig
Head to Watters Creek at Montgomery Farm for their annual Shamrock Shindig. The St. Patrick’s Day celebration will kick off at 1 PM with some traditional Irish music and run until 5PM with various entertainment throughout the afternoon. Be sure to stay and dine at one of the many restaurants and bars with St. Patrick’s Day specials while you enjoy the extravaganza. Even the creek will be dyed green!
March 22 – April 1: Beaumont – South Texas State Fair
Dust off your boots and head out to Beaumont to catch the South Texas State Fair & Rodeo . Ditch your summer diet for a day and indulge in everything fried and on a stick you can imagine (think funnel cake, corndogs, cheesecake, and pickles). Bring the kiddos and check out the classic carnival rides, livestock show and exotic petting zoo, or if you’re flying solo, check out the Miller Lite Beer Garden for adult beverages.
March 23 – 24: Plano – Toyota Texas Music Revolution
A fun weekend of country music is coming to Plano! KHYI 95.3 The Range is hosting the Toyota Texas Music Revolution in Plano. Stop by the weekend-long music festival to see 18 bands on two stages! March 24 – 25: Frisco – Arts in the Square
The 9th Annual Arts in the Square features over 120 artists selling unique handmade products. Grab the family and enjoy your time experiencing beautiful art, listen to local musicians, and enjoy food and spirits.
Weekends in March: Allen – Spring Photos with Bunnies
Silver Star Pictures is partnering with foster families of Wild Rescue, Inc for you to get the most charming spring photos of your kiddos with live bunnies. Starting March 3rd, Watters Creek will be hosting this photo shoot every Saturday and Sunday. Walk-ins are welcome, but just to be safe, make sure to schedule your photo session online here.

March 31: El Paso – Poppy Fest
Head over to west Texas and experience the desert transform into fields of golden yellow Mexican poppies. El Paso is celebrating with a free festival at the El Paso Museum of Archaeology on March 31 from 10AM – 4PM. Once you’ve checked out the museum filled with 14,000 years of El Paso history, explore the Franklin Mountains and enjoy the natural beauty of the bright blooms. Although the celebration is March 31, the poppies will be blooming throughout April.
