Some of our favorite folks live in West Texas and boy do they know how to celebrate Christmas! Here are a few of our “can’t miss” celebrations.

Lubbock:

63rd Annual TTU Carol of Lights – November 30, 2021Holiday Events in West Texas - Lubbock
With the flip of a switch, more than 25,000 colored lights illuminate 18 buildings around Memorial Circle, the Engineering Key and the Broadway Entrance to the campus during Texas Tech University’s Carol of Lights. The fun starts at 6:30 pm but the campus will remain lit throughout the holiday season for all to enjoy.

Ballet Lubbock’s The Nutcracker – December 9, 2021 – December 12, 2021

Mark your calendars for the debut of The Nutcracker at Buddy Holly Hall! Kick back and enjoy this holiday classic with some of the best performers in West Texas.

San Angelo:

Concho Christmas Celebration – December 4, 2021 – December 31, 2020Holiday Events in West Texas - San Angelo
The Concho Christmas Celebration encompasses a 2.5 mile drive along the banks of the Concho River featuring over 3 million lights in the tour. This year’s event is the 26th anniversary and the festivities include the well-known ‘Tour of Lights’, a Live Nativity scene, the annual Community Tree Lighting Ceremony and Lights of Christmas Parade, the opportunity to take a bicycle ride with Santa and so much more. Don’t miss out on all the fun this holiday season in San Angelo!

Christmas at Old Fort Concho – December 3, 4 & 5, 2021

Watch before your eyes as Old Fort Concho transforms into a winter wonderland complete with hundreds of re-enactors and period traders who bring the holidays of the 1800s to life. Plus get some retail therapy in with merchants and artisans from across Texas inside the fort’s many buildings.

El Paso:

WinterFest – November 20, 2021 – January 2, 2022

Visit El Paso’s own winter wonderland as the Downtown Arts Festival Plaza decks the halls with holiday lights and decor. Bring the family along for a memorable ring around the outdoor ice skating rink and check off your list with must-have gifts from local vendors and boutiques. And don’t miss out on free showings of holiday films at the Plaza Theatre!
