To make your plans just a little easier, here is a list of the best Holiday Events happening in North Texas this year!

Grapevine:

Christmas Capital of Texas – All Winter Long

Celebrate the magic of Christmas in Grapevine, the Christmas Capital of Texas! This is the perfect place to create wonderful Christmas memories with your family and friends. With 40 days of Christmas events, it is quite easy to figure out why they were named the Christmas Capital of Texas. Escape to North Pole Express® presented by the Great Wolf Lodge and get the full experience with a Christmas train ride all thanks to the Grapevine Vintage Railroad.

Downtown Main Street is home to the Historic Palace Theatre where holiday concerts and classic holiday movies are played. The shopping experience on Main Street is unlike anywhere else. Shoppers can stroll and shop while marveling at all of the holiday light and entertainment.

And that’s not all! There’s so much more to do in Grapevine including the Grapevine Christmas Village, Gaylord Texan’s Lone Star Christmas, Snowland at Great Wolf Lodge, and Christmas Wine Trains.

Dallas:

The 12 Days of Christmas at the Dallas Arboretum – November 10, 2021 – December 31, 2021

Holiday at the Dallas Arboretum is a must-see destination during every season of the year with over one million lights across the gardens and parks. This year’s theme is the 12 days of Christmas. Explore the decorated gazebos and new 50-foot tall Dazzling Musical Tree plus costumed characters, whimsical animals and holiday tunes. And don’t miss out on the various programming including visits with Santa, live music at the Shadow Garden, the holiday vendor market, and more.

The Trains at NorthPark – November 13, 2021 – January 2, 2022

All aboard! This Dallas tradition features 1,600 feet of track with whimsical toy trains rolling from coast to coast on a journey across America. The elaborate display includes sights from the fall foliage of New England to the Grand Canyon and the Garden of the Gods. Plus plenty of miniature Dallas icons you’re sure to recognize.

Plano:

Lights on the Farm – November 26, 2021 – December 26 2021

For one month, the Heritage Farmstead Museum will transform into a winter wonderland with more than one million twinkling holiday lights. Visit every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evening from 6pm-10pm to enjoy the quarter-mile trail lined with stunning holiday light creations and animated displays, plus towering Christmas trees and refreshments like hot cocoa and s’mores.

Deerfield Holidays Lights – December 1, 2021 – December 30, 2021

One of the most iconic holiday lights displays in North Texas is right around the corner in Plano’s Deerfield neighborhood. The tradition has been around ever since the subdivision was being built and has since grown into a collection of over 500 houses decked out in all things holiday every year. Pro tip: visit on a weekday to avoid traffic and enter near the back of the neighborhood off Quincy.

The Legacy North Pole – December 12, 2021 from 11am-2pm

Come get a portrait with Santa and his reindeer at the Shops at Legacy! Afterward you can take the whole family on the 10ft frozen ice slide and snow party with music, restaurant specials, and more.

Frisco:

Christmas in the Square – November 19, 2021 – January 2, 2022

Holiday Events in North Texas - Frisco

Grab your skates and head over to Frisco this holiday season for Christmas in the Square. This event is the largest lights and music show in North Texas and will be happening daily from 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm. With over 175,000 lights, this event is the perfect winter activity for the whole family.

Head over to Frisco Square on December 4, 2021, for a special Merry Main Street event from 3:30pm-10pm. Shop at the Holiday Gift Market and Kids Holiday Store as you watch the official tree lighting ceremony and take in the tunes of Grammy Award-winning, Brave Combo.

Radiance! Frozen in Frisco  –  November 18, 2021 – January 1, 2022

Radiance is back, bigger, and better than ever! The mile-long drive-through experience lights up the sky with 3 million synchronized lights. And the all-new Frozen in Frisco outdoor winter carnival is full of thrills, fun, and magic with a 2-story ice tubing hill, ice skating rink, 108ft Ferris wheel, bumper cars on ice, and more.

Christmas at The Star – November 19, 2021 – December 24, 2021

And for all of you football fanatics, the Dallas Cowboys don’t mess around when it comes to the holidays. From the 67-foot LED tree in Tostitos Championship Plaza to the lit-up trees along The Star Boulevard, The Star offers a fun and exciting holiday experience for all to enjoy. The must-see 20-minute show happens every Friday and Saturday at 6pm and features the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, Dallas Cowboys Rhythm and Drumline, Santa Claus, and special appearances from Dallas Cowboys Football heroes.

Sparkle & Sleigh Christmas Market – December 3 & 4, 2021

The Waxahachie Junior Service League Mistletoe and Holly Christmas Market is held the first weekend in December and offers a unique shopping experience with over 100 vendors.

Historic Waxahachie Christmas Home Tour – December 11 & 12, 2021 from 2pm-8pm

Celebrate the spirit of the season through the lens of Waxahachies stunning historic homes. The tour will give you a behind-the-scenes view of the historic buildings and learn about what it was like to live, work, and play in the magnificent homes.
