Laredo, it’s time to get your party on. Come out and celebrate George Washington’s 121st birthday with 28 events throughout 33 days.
Kick off your visit at the Commander’s Reception or check out the WBCA Youth Song & Dance Festival. If being outdoors suits you more, there’s a Founding Fathers’ 5K Run or the WBCA Stars & Stripes Air Show Spectacular, which is free for children under 12. The celebration also includes the Princess Pocahontas Pageant, which is truly unique to Laredo and a must-see event.
It wouldn’t be a festival without a parade or fireworks, right? Prepare to be mesmerized by the illuminated floats at the Youth Parade under the Stars. And go out with a bang at the H-E-B Fireworks Extravaganza, which features live music and closes the month-long festival.
The fun begins January 18th and runs through February 19th. Click here to see a full event calendar, locations, and ticket information.
